Our Mission
Uptyke is on a mission to bridge the education gap for learners with disabilities in Kenya. We believe that every child deserves access to quality, inclusive education — and technology is the key to making that happen. Through our digital learning platform, we provide curriculum-aligned content designed specifically for learners with autism, deafness, hearing impairments, and visual impairments.
The Problem
In Kenya, over 1.7 million children live with some form of disability. Many of these children face significant barriers to accessing quality education — from a lack of specialized learning materials to undertrained teachers and inaccessible school infrastructure.
The result? Thousands of learners are falling behind their peers, missing out on foundational skills, and being excluded from the opportunities that education provides. The existing digital learning platforms are not designed with these learners in mind, further widening the gap.
